Environmentally Sustainable Systems

Environmentally Sustainable Systems (ESS) Ltd was established in 1995 to provide bespoke ecological and other environmental services across the UK to a wide variety of client groups for both public and private sector organisations.

ESS specialises in high quality habitat and species surveys, including protected species for terrestrial, freshwater and marine ecology.

We offer a completely integrated service covering liaison and scoping studies, monitoring and reporting, including contribution to EIA's.     Our work involves prediction and assessment of ecological impacts, mitigation and ecological compensation, habitat creation, restoration and ecological clerk of works.  We now also offer lunchtime seminars on protected species.
